Main Prize - The photographer of the winning image will win a cash prize of £5,000 and the title ‘Bird Photographer of the Year’. The winner will also receive a personal portfolio review by the Director of Photography at Alamy, have their work and personal interview featured on the Alamy website, social media and blog, plus a special seller's account with a personal account manager and receive 100% of sales revenue for 2 years. The overall winner will also receive a pair of Swarovski EL 8x32 with a retail value of approximately £1,640.00.

Portfolio Prize – The winner of the Best Portfolio will receive a cash prize of £2,000. The winner will also receive a personal portfolio review by the Director of Photography at Alamy and a special seller's account receiving 100% of any sales revenue for 12 months.

Category Prizes – The photographer of the winning image in each category will receive a pair of Swarovski CL Companion 8x30 binoculars with a retail value of approximately £800. Winners will also receive a personal portfolio review by the Director of Photography at Alamy and a special seller's account receiving 100% of any sales revenue for 12 months. Digital Photographer Magazine are offering a year's printed subscription to the magazine for the winner of the Creative Imagery Category. Those judged second in each of the categories will receive a runners-up prize of a Traveller Jacket with a retail value of £175 manufactured and supplied by outdoor clothing and equipment specialists Country Innovation.

The Cameron Bespolka Young Bird Photographer of the Year – The photographer of the winning image will receive £350, a pair of Swarovski CL Companion 8x30 binoculars and the title of ‘Young Bird Photographer of the Year’. The runner-up will receive £200. 3rd place will receive £100.

NPL People's Choice Award, Nature Photographers Ltd will be celebrating the best of those images that didn't make the short-list by allowing the public to choose their favourite photo from a selection of 50 images. The poll will be conducted through the NPL Instagram account and the winner will receive £250.

Prizes will be announced and awarded at an awards ceremony to take place at the Rutland Birdfair 2017. Details to be confirmed.
